Min Jae believes Mi So is having an affair and that is the reason she lost Hae Ram. When Myung Ja hears this, she uses Mi So’s seal against the woman’s will to stamp the divorce papers.

Min Jae’s abuse is made known and the Yoon men and Kyung Soo ride in to try to rescue Mi So who is trying to hold on to her marriage with all of her might.

Mi So struggles to keep her marriage together as Min Jae turns into a violent drunk and restarts his affair with Na Young while Mi So tries to end her friendship with Kyung Soo.

Mi So makes a promise to stay strong no matter what she encounters, but that promise is hard to keep when Min Jae turns violent.

Kyung Soo saves Mi So from suicide and helps her confront Hae Ram’s “death” so that she can finally say goodbye to her daughter.

Mi Soo finally snaps completely thanks to Myung Ja and attempts suicide while Kyung Soo desperately searches for her.

Myung Ja goes against Mi Soo’s and Min Jae’s wishes and schedules a funeral for the missing Hae Ram and insists that Min Jae divorce his wife once it’s all over.

Mi So doesn’t believe Hae Ram to be dead and continues searching after Myung Ja and Min Jae and even her own family gives up hope.

Na Young gets to Hae Ram first and steals her away only to have Hae Ram escape into a road into the path of an oncoming truck.

Kyung Soo offers Mi So unconditional support while Na Young officially starts work at CK again and Hae Ram manages to run away from Na Young’s adoptive mother.
