2014 Drama-Watching Project

As I have said in my year-end review, I am notoriously bad at not completing most of the dramas I watch, for whatever reason. Thus, this year I have started the Great Drama-Watching Project. The goal is to see how many of the unfinished and new dramas I can complete in the year. I have already started this project and have now completed 2 dramas. I am taking this one drama at a time with no simul-watching except with currently airing dramas that I am covering…well, okay, I’m technically only watching 2 currently airing dramas. One I am covering and one that I am not. 😛

Anywho, that is neither here nor there. I will probably not be recapping all of these dramas. I will, however, probably be reviewing them along the way. Some of my incomplete dramas are also ones that I never finished recapping, so you might actually get to see those recaps finally finished this year!

I have embedded the project in the sidebar of the site, but you can watch my progress on this post as well.

Le Jun Kai should have been a full drama! I liked it! It was dark as HELL!!! Melody of Love, I put on hold and switched to Golden Rainbow. I’m glad I did. I like it better. The lead female in MoL is kind of annoying.

I don’t watch MoL but I just watch some parts esp of the main leads when ep gets updated on kbs channel.
No offense to the main actress but in my opinion she really can’t act,in the first few eps she overacted ever scene, the ones I remember are yelling at her mom and then yelling at the male lead.SO mush over reacting I can say.
The male lead’s acting isn’t that great too.
Though the acting has got much better than in the recent eps

Thanks. I never really realized just how horrible I really was at finishing dramas. So…I needs must finish dramas. Since I am slowly and painfully migrating my site, I realized just how much I’ve let unfinished. For all the dramas I started in 2010 that never were completely recapped, most of them I never finished watching either. So, the goal is to become better.

NeeNee, I would say your off to a great start. :). I love how you have such variety in the dramas you watch. It helps newbies like me to become exposed to what is out there.
Although you have a full plate (with dramas) I started watching The Hours of My Life on DF and I love it and would recommend it.

Thank you! I’m not quite sure how it happened, but I think it’s all thanks to Hana Yori Dango that I ended up watching a wide variety. I had to watch the Japanese version which led me to the original Taiwanese version and the Korean version and the Chinese version. And then I discovered other great dramas.
I really want to check out The Hours of My Life. Maybe I’ll marathon the subbed episodes on DF this weekend. 🙂

For me, blogs like yours are the ones that have helped me expand my (drama watching) horizons.
Doing a marathon of available eps of The Hours of My Life would be a good a wise choice. I find the wait for each episode torture. If you have a chance would love to hear your thoughts on the show.

Such a noble goal, hehe. Every now and then I go over my dropped list and think, “bbut, maybe if I give them just one more chance.. tomorrow for sure… and then it doesn’t happen. I torture myself because I’m a completionist at heart, but not always in practice. Anyways, good luck!

lol, thank you! I can’t even tell you WHY I stopped watching most of the list, which is funny. So, going back to complete some dramas, which may mean restarting completely, and trying to complete any going forward. No guarantee I won’t drop things because a drama just doesn’t speak to me, tho.
