Quote It: Big Dragon The Series Episode 6

While I don’t 100% buy how quickly a romantic relationship happens, not a bad series and acting is mostly good. I had like Secret Garden flashbacks. Hyun Woo’s character complained that the female lead never thought of him and put herself in his shoes. But…his character never tried to put himself in her shoes, so that always vexed me that he complained about that.

In this series, Mangkorn complains that Yhai does this as well. He’s too selfish and only thinks of himself and never puts himself in Mangkorn’s shoes. Meanwhile Mangkorn is too afraid to speak up about his own difficulties, mainly that his father wants him to marry his childhood friend. And when you get Yhai’s reaction, you can totally understand why Mangkorn hasn’t opened up to him on this topic.

Yhai contemplating Nine’s love advice

Kind of falls into the drama realm where they have willful misunderstanding. It’s like watching the Bollywood version of Pride and Prejudice where it felt like just honestly willful misunderstanding with no attempt to honestly get where the other person is coming from which is actually a lot different than P&P as ilehile the leads did misunderstand each other, it didn’t feel as malicious as it can in dramas and movies.

I mean Yhai does have a reason to be upset with Mangkorn hiding the issue, but he has to understand that his lover is suffering and trying to figure out a way out of the whole situation. So Yhai goes out to eat with his good friend that he sees as his older brother who has returned from abroad and complains that he’s just so tired of love right now. Enter in a shoe analogy, but P’Nine does make a valid point of love. But it’s not about the right fit, but rather Yhai and Mangkorn still have maturing to do in this department.

Actually, love is like choosing a pair of shoes. The pair that we look for is usually pretty, just the way we like it. But sometimes…they don’t always fit you.
