Music from Love at the Dolphin Bay
A Promise of Love at the Dolphin Bay was the first Taiwanese drama that I have managed to finish. It took me awhile, but I stuck it out through all 27 episodes. They could have shortened the series and cut back on some of the heavier melodramatic moments, but then where is the fun in that? Anyways, I absolutely fell in love with the soundtrack to this drama. Especially “Journey” sung by Angela Zhang (the main actress) and “I Don’t Want to Know” by Chen Wei. The other songs are good as well, but these two hit home the most to me.
Here is Angela’s MV for “Journey.” Yes, it’s in English. It’s a very pretty song and can be seen from a religious stand point or the stand point of someone who has always been there supporting her [which makes sense as there are religious undertones since the two main leads were in a Catholic orphanage]
“I Don’t Want to Know” is the opening theme for the drama performed by Chen Wei. It’s highly addicting and I sing along in English…even though it’s in Mandarin with a few English phrases. Here is the opening:
