We learn more and more about Ren Mei’s pathetic past while Tai gets a blow from his father—to be Tian He’s shadow until the eldest twin returns since Tai has no intention of staying in the hot spring village.

Mei Ren moves into the Long household where Tai initially bullies her for her mistreatment of herself, but she is soon welcomed into the Long family. Meanwhile, Ren Hu asks her to be his spy.
