Aziatix Releases “Go” Acoustic Version
I fell in love with Asian American trio Aziatix with the original version of “Go.” They have just released the acoustic MV earlier this week and I must say that it is awesome! I love acoustic versions of songs, if done right, and this song is done really well. Nicky and Eddie’s harmonies are awesome and I never knew how gentle and toned down you could make the rap part go. Flowsick’s rap in this is…poetry…for lack of a better word. It would have been very odd to have a very loud rap that overpowered the acoustic sounds.
Acoustic versions of songs can really highlight just how talented a singer is minus all the mixing and accompaniment. I was a little worried about “Go” being acoustic [not because I didn’t know how talented this trio is], but it definitely turned out much better than I thought. There are just some songs that are better in the original version, but this is equal to its original. [Just like some ballads should never be made into dance songs, some songs shouldn’t have an acoustic versions.]
And then there is the MV itself. Sunset, water, the boys. It’s really great visually and expresses the freedom of going your own way. Check out the MV for yourself.
