Infinite Releases Paradise MV
I can’t really comment too much on how good the video matches the song, as I really don’t know what they are saying. I just think it’s funny that the song title is “Paradise” and all the guys look depressed and seem to not be able to stop this one girl from leaving.
The song itself as similar sounds at the beginning to their big hits “BTD” and “Be Mine.” I must say, though, as the music goes on, it turns from typical kpop to typical (US) 80s music. I don’t know about Korean 80s music, but it definitely sounds like American 80s club music. Ok. So I was born in ’85 and my parents and aunt were teenagers in the 80s. So, I know 80s music. Wow. I was surprised, especially at the chorus. I do like the song, but am not too sure I really like Infinite doing the whole American 80s sound. It really makes me wonder what Simon and Martina would have to say if they did this MV for their Kpop Music Mondays.
It is also interesting that there is no dance scenes at all as Infinite [with the exception of “Can You Smile”] have done releases that heavily emphasized their dancing skills. Makes you kind of anticipate what new kind of dance we can see from the boys when they perform this song live. Will we get some 80s dance moves to go with the music?
Anywho, check out the music video for some nice close-ups of the boys.
