I love the posts by angry asian man. He’s got some great rants. So what is his latest rant about? The remake of 1984 movie Red Dawn.

I watched the original Red Dawn movie and though it could be laggy and boring, it was still fairly decent. Plus, who doesn’t like the late Patrick Swayze? Although, the movie was pretty darn depressing as war movies tend to be (with the majority of the cast all…dying). In the original movie, the US was invaded by the USSR with the help of Cuba and Nicaragua. Pretty believable as it was an 80s film and you’re coming off all the bad vibes from the Cold War and the Cuban Missile Crisis twenty years or so prior. A group of teens get together to help fight off the bad guys and try to survive.

Now, apparently there is a remake. The project was shelved due to MGM going bankrupt, but has apparently been picked up again. This new version had the US invaded by China. They then decided that was a bad idea to offend China in that way and did their best to turn their Chinese invaders into North Koreans. Oy.
