U-KISS Releases NEVERLAND

My first thought after not being necessarily too thrilled with some parts of the actual dance [mainly the part where it looks like they are motioning someone to bring it on]  is that “Oh my god, Kiseop actually got two small parts!” The main vocals still rest on Kevin’s and Soohyun’s laurels. Hoon didn’t get as much solo time as he did in “0330,” but I think he still got more time than Kiseop, which is still beyond my comprehension as Kiseop can really sing, yet he is never really featured or has any big parts. Yes, they have seven members, but you’d think they could more evenly distribute some of the main vocals. I mean, each of the three rappers seem to get their own longer solo spot, so why not the vocalists as well?

After making their comeback with two new members earlier this year with the ballad “0330”, U-KISS goes back to their dance music roots in their latest release “NEVERLAND.” This is definitely a strong dance song. It is good, but then again, at times I am just not a huge fan of dance music because, to me, it all starts sounding the same after awhile. But I still love U-KISS. “NEVERLAND” does have a strong and catchy beat and I do love the group dance, with that one exception in the chorus part of the dance. They show just how strong of a dance group they are.

I must say that baby Dongho’s English is really improving! Compared to when U-KISS was just starting out and performed a cover of Backstreet Boys’ “As Long as You Love Me,” his pronunciation has gotten a lot better. I don’t really know anything about AJ from his Paran days, so I can’t say he’s improved or not, but his English parts were well done, too. Eli’s, of course, is always good.

Alas, it seems like this album, just like their last mini-album, isn’t available via iTunes at this time. At least not in the US. I would like to be able to get more than just Break Time by them.

Below is the full tracklist for the album. I highly recommend checking out the songs “Someday” and “Take Me Away” as they are my absolute favorites from this album.
