Infinite Releases “Nothing’s Over” MV
First they hit with “Dashi Dorawa” (Come Back Again) and then “She’s Back” from their first mini-album First Invasion. Both of which are more upbeat songs. Then they returned with “BTD (Before the Dawn)” on their second mini-album Evolution. Still a dance number, but with a heavier melody. Now, they have officially released their next song “Nothing’s Over” from their new (and first) single album Inspirit (also the name of their fan club). We get to hear maknae Sungjong’s pretty nifty voice in the chorus. It would be interesting to see him with more solo parts, but perhaps his more feminine voice ensures that he is more in the background vocally.
Love Infinite. Love this song. The video is cute and I get that the group is trying to get one guy to buck up about a recent breakup, but the video makes it seem a little different than that. They lyrics talk about not letting a girl go to another guy, but the video almost seems like a plea for a certain member to snap out of it and come back. I would love to have this song, but it’s not on either of their mini-albums and the single has not been released in the US as of yet (I get my Korean music fixes from artists via iTunes – despite people’s complaints, they do have the most variety and Asian music).
And like all groups it seems, when they do the darker, manlier images, they must follow up with a cute and bright image. As especially showcased with SHINee (“Lucifer” vs. “Hello”) and even ZE:A (“Mazel Tov” vs. their latest single). Unfortunately, Infinite reminds me a bit too much of SHINee who is known for their very colorful clothes. Just watch any of their MVs. Oh well. Still love Infinite!
