SHINee Releases Lucifer MV
So SHINee is back with their second album and have just released their new MV to support it. Um, yeah. I won’t argue against their dancing. It really is pretty awesome. But the MV falls flat to me. Why? It seems like a glorified car commercial. Seriously. But perhaps I’m the only one to think that way. However, they have 3 shiny cars in the background while the boys dance and there are scenes with some members actually in the cars. So, yeah. It looks like they are promoting cars versus their new album.
But watch it for yourself.
And what is with the weird half-shaved, half-long haircut? This is definitely different than the American trend where boys shaved off the bottom hair and left it long on top, and it seems a lot … worse. But this haircut is definitely reminiscent of G-Dragon’s when Big Bang had their comeback album awhile ago. G-Dragon described it as showing how he is maturing. The shaved half is the more mature, adult side and the longer side is the young man. Not quite the same here, but definitely a lot a like. And a trend I definitely don’t understand or like.
But, good news for SHINee fans, iTunes does have their second album available … or at least part of it. That is the sucky part about iTunes. They only have partial albums for a lot of Asian artists – like Super Junior and DBSK (their Japanese albums, not Korean). I do hope that they will eventually get more Asian music in. I would love to have DBSK’s Korean albums or Taiwanese band Fahrenheit’s. I would even love to get KAT-TUN’s latest.
