It was announced that IRIS 2 is beginning pre-production and is tentatively slated for an October 2011 air date on KBS2. As for the storyline, it will be set three years after the initial ending of IRIS. As for casting, the main cast who did not die in the first season is expected to return for the second season. They believe the mystery behind IRIS and Hyun Joon’s death will finally be revealed and the questions left hanging from the first season will finally be answered.
