Rei is well on her way to creating her family register when she finally learns Ayukawa’s identity. She then decides to go to trial to keep her name off the Ayukawa register and protect her mother from her abusive ex-husband.

Rei meets Kusano and decides to become friends. Meanwhile, Yoko finally writes the statement just as Ayukawa figures out Rei’s true identity.

Rei decides to trust and wait for her mother to confront her past demons as said demon is getting closer and closer to learning the Tanazaki family whereabouts.

Rei learns her mother’s dark secret and the two try to begin the necessary steps to add Rei to the Tanizaki family register.
