Ryo and Isao learn of a secret that could prove Mitsuru’s innocence while Mitsuru and Kanako finally face each other honestly just to end their relationship.

Isao fights his demons, but decides it’s no use while Mitsuru finally caves in to Irie’s pressure and Ryo is determined to investigate the real truth behind the murder.

Do I believe Mitsuru is really the killer? Not really. Even though he attacked his father and accidentally pushed Oguri down the stairs, I really don’t think he has what it takes because he looked absolutely horrified staring down at Oguri’s prone figure. Mitsuru is arrested as the murderer as his brothers’ alibis come out. Isao promises to re-investigate the case to see if he can find the real murderer.

Going back two days before the murder we learn more and more reasons why each son could kill their father; however, Oguri only fingers one of them. Which son did Oguri say is responsible for Bunzo’s death?

Mitsuru starts to wear down just as Oguri wakes up – which brother is the killer? Or was it someone else who had a grudge against the vile Kurosawa Bunzo?

We get to see the youngest Kurosawa boy’s story in this episode. Ryo who abhors conflict and is a good man, in fact, harbors enough hatred and resentment towards his father – is it enough for him to kill Bunzo?
