VRV Brings Crunchyroll and Funimation Under One Subscription!

If you love anime, then you might know about Crunchyroll and Funimation streaming subscription services. Well, apparently VRV (I had never heard of this service before) is now bringing content from both of these anime streaming services under it’s roof for only $9.99 a month, which is an excellent deal if you consider the cost of both services if you buy them individually together ranges from $13 – $18/month.

Funimation offers limited streaming for free. Their premium subscription service is $5.99 a month and you can access their entire library in HD without ads. Plus, you have access to current season anime with dubs.

Crunchyroll has a free membership which offers limited streaming (with ads) and a two-tiered Premium Membership. The first is $6.95/month which includes access to their entire anime and manga library (includes current simulcasts and manga chapter releases) and no ad HD streaming. The second is $11.95/month and just includes some extra perks. Of course, VRV is anime, so if you wanted the manga perks, this Combo Package wouldn’t be for you, you’d want to go with an actual Crunchyroll subscription.

Oh, and if you do VRV’s bundle, you get access to Cartoon Hangover, Geek & Sundry, MONDO, Nerdist, Rooster Teeth, Geek & Sundry, and Tested. They have a la carte options for RiffTrax, GINX, Machinima, Seeso, and Shudder. VRV is available online, and on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Chromecast, iOS, Android, and newer Roku devices.

According to VRV’s FAQ, you can link current Crunchyroll premium account if you already have one and then you can access that content for free via VRV. If you don’t already have an account and you’d like more anime bang for your buck, then this Combo Package featuring Funimation and Crunchyroll would be a cool idea. I may consider this in the future if I start watching more anime again.
