Asian Addicts Anonymous

Does anyone else feel like this year has flown by so fast or is it just me? I can’t believe the time is here to carry on Asian Addicts Anonymous‘s annual Asian Music Countdown to Christmas. I do try to find Christmas or winter-themed songs, but this year I might throw in just some of my most favorite songs from throughout the year. We’ll see how it goes.

On the first day of Christmas, what shall I gift to you? How about a very dancey Vietnamese version of the classic hit “Jingle Bells”?

The singing itself isn’t bad, but I’m not sold on what they did to the beat and all. That heavy bass line…if that’s what it is…is kind of weird and funky and doesn’t seem to suit the song as well. On the up side, Y Thanh when he switches to English has really good and clear pronunciation in English.
