Asian Drama Streaming Updates – June 30, 2015

Welcome to this week’s edition of Asian drama and movie streaming updates.

First off, Crunchyroll has announced part of their summer line up! Guess what is coming this summer? They are simulcasting Japanese drama Death Note. I’m definitely tuning in. I might even recap that one ;). So far that’s the only drama on slate. They are also adding anime Charlotte, Classroom✩Crisis, Wagnaria!!3, Durarara!! X2 The Second, Rokka -Braves of the Six Flowers-, and Actually, I am.

DramaFever has added some Korean dramas and even a Taiwanese drama. New titles include My Beautiful Bride; Fabulous Boys (You’re Beautiful remake); and The Time That I Loved You, 7000 Days (In Time With You remake). DramaFever does have both the original versions of the remakes listed here if you want to take a gander. If you’re not a fan of DramaFever, don’t forget you can check out Hulu which carries DramaFever titles. No matter what, you’re pretty much stuck with commercials.

Netflix has added anime feature film Expelled from Paradise, and the Jet Li movie marathon continues with Tai Chi Master (this movie also stars the awesome Michelle Yeoh), plus more Bollywood with Hasee Toh Phasee. We have the goofy movie God of Cookery now available and in the same vein of goofiness, we have the spoof movie King of Comedy. Nothing new in dramas unless you count the influx of more Spanish-language dramas.

That’s it in the form of additions. Next week, I’ll double check to see if any more dramas have been removed from Netflix again.

  • Yeah, Crunchyroll! They only do one simulcast a season now 😦 But like you, I will definitely be watching!!

    • It’s sad they are only doing one simulcast…but actually, I guess they never did a whole lot of drama simulcasts. I’m glad they have this one. Time to start watching.

  • That’s so perfect for Crunchyroll to simulcast the new Deathnote live action. That way it can reach a lot of anime fans too!

  • I always appreciate you posting these updates on available dramas/movies. I find them super helpful. Muchisimas gracias NeeNee. 🙂
