Fly to the Sky Drops Teaser for 9th Album
Thanks to watching reality shows like X-Man and Love Letter I discovered the group Fly to the Sky, an R&B duo that used to be under SM. They’ve been through a lot in the 10+ years they’ve been together and they have openly talked about their problems in recent years. Hwanhee went into the military at the same time MyName (a group he helped produce) debuted. His military service is officially over now and he and Brian Joo are coming back together as Fly to the Sky (after a lot of solo activities since 2009). I love both their solo works, but am excited to see them releasing and their 9th album Continuum. I think that is a very fitting title given the longevity of this group’s careers (both as solo artists and as an active duo). Here is the definition from vocabulary.com (which is the thankfully least scientific one I could find).
A continuum is something that keeps on going, changing slowly over time, like the continuum of the four seasons.
In addition to meaning “a whole made up of many parts,” continuum, pronounced “kon-TIN-yoo-um,” can describe a range that is always present. For example, in a high school, at any time, there are students who are learning algebra, then advancing to geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Just as the ninth graders master their particular math, they move on to the next one, as new ninth graders enter the school and the seniors graduate.
What is really cool is that this album is being released on May 20th. Why is that cool? Because it’s my birthday! The fact that they are releasing an official new album after 5 years is an exciting and happy birthday present, don’t you think?
In preparing for the release of their 9th album, H2 Media has uploaded a digest of their albums from debut to now. Take a look and amaze yourself at how much they have changed over the years. Although…one thing has always remained the same, these two are incredibly talented.
