30 Day Asian Music Challenge Day 26

So…this kind of goes like one of the other questions I answered earlier, but instead of just naming a song with lyrics I like, I’m going to pinpoint favorite phrases from songs.

Day 26: Your favorite quote from a song’s lyrics?

I really like a phrase from one of Aucifer’s songs from Kaikan Phrase “C no Binetsu” which roughly translates to:

Sunrise… standing by the window, you’re a work of art
If I touch you, you’ll turn into a thousand tears
Sunset… as if to melt the icy moon
a lonely Venus holding out a lighter in the darkness

From Alice Nine’s “Velvet”:

In the room of the sweetly swayed velvet
Wax bares it’s claws, leaving behind scars
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The artificial roses that seem to be destroyed are in brilliance
Wanting to be shined upon; In the red dream, this room will be dyed

And then there’s Rainie Yang’s “The Longing I Dare Not Say”: “loneliness is more frightening than a broken heart.”

And the lyrics to Angela Zhang’s “Journey” (which is technically an English song, but why quibble):

I know I will falter I know I will cry
I know you’ll be standing by my side
It’s a long long journey
And I need to be close to you…

I like lyrics that are like poetry…it’s the English major in me (and the poet…though my poetry…yeah).
