30 Day Asian Drama Challenge Set 2 – Day 11
Hmm, you know, I bet I could answer this questions better if I could remember some characters I just loathed while watching certain dramas. I know there is one character I most loathe above all others and I’m fairly certain he comes from a Japanese drama…but I for the life of me can’t remember who he is right now. Strange, isn’t it?
11. Your least favorite male character?
Basing it off a rather recent disappointments…
Kim Gyu Chul as Park Gi Chul in May Queen
Ugh, this man. I think part of the problem was the writing and the character development, but you really couldn’t feel sorry for this pathetic, sniveling, and evil man who didn’t care how much he hurt his son with his actions.
Also, we cannot forget the man bad guy who they tried to redeem at the end.

And then we have the disastrous “villain” from Spring Love. Ren Hu, Ren Hu…in the end there was NO motivation for him whatsoever and that just completely ruined the character as I kept waiting for that moment when we get the lightbulb on to WHY his anger and hatred were directed at the Long family.

Ren Hu and his poor poor flippy hair. I still don’t get that character.
Does anyone, I wonder?
Oh, I hate that! When you don’t actually know why someone hates someone. I mean, they must have a reason, but it’s like some writers just figured they didn’t need to give the villain one because he just needed to do his job as the antagonist. Urgh.
