30 Day Asian Drama Challenge – Day 30
So, it’s finally over! Or is it 😉
Day 30: A drama you never get tired of?
I do rewatch dramas, I do. But…sometimes that ruins the initial love of the drama if you know what I mean. It’s called getting older, more mature, and just having tastes change. A drama I thought was amazing when I first watched it seems trite, silly, or bad when I rewatch it (Boys Over Flowers, Gong). I have this happen with books, too. I book I’ve loved so much suddenly makes me wonder why after a reread (I partially blame my degree in English and Writing for that).
Anywho, that being said, I do have dramas that I can watch over and over again without getting bored.
- Hana Yori Dango (really, just can’t help how much I love this series)
- Hana Kimi (original Japanese version with Oguri, Horikita)
- Oh! My Lady (this is the first drama I successfully finished recapping, too)
- Stars Falling from the Sky (still love this drama)
If I rewatch Hana Kimi, i watch up until the last episode, and then jump forward to like, the last 10 minutes of the last episode. I can’t rewatch the full last episode, it’s just too long. It’s basically an entire episode of goodbyes, urgh
agreed! and in the TW version you have to skip the last ep because it’s such a disappointing ending XP
yeah, the last day 🙂 . . . could not stick with responding every day but thank you for the post and redbeanmochi for the drama challenge (you guys rock !!!).
On to the question of the day. I am not someone who can rewatch anything. I may look for a favorite scene in an episode but I can never rewatch a whole drama not even an episode. There’s too many new dramas/movies to discover . . . and so little time, on to watching cruel city . . .
I rewatch some, but most generally, I try to find a drama I haven’t watched or need to finish. Thanks for joining us during this challenge! It’s okay if you couldn’t do every day 🙂
