Cross Gene Releases Shooting Star PV
Remember Cross Gene? It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from them (in the Korean music scene at least). They have officially released the PV for their first Japanese album called “Shooting Star.” It’s a good song, although I’m not completely sold on the rapping parts from Casper and Sangmin, but it’s not horrible or anything. I just find the rap at times awkward.
What I really do enjoy is being able to actually hear Terada Takuya sing! I wonder why he got more vocals on the Japanese album than on the Korean album as his Korean isn’t bad and he can speak it fluently. I must say, that even though the new member can sing really well, I do miss JR’s beautiful voice. He’s left the group to pursue a solo career, which isn’t too surprising. I’ll be keeping my eye out for him in the the future.
Now, this PV…. it’s not bad, but I’m just trying to figure out why the boys are dancing with lighted up plastic swords and then we have shots with them holding real swords. It’s kind of weird. Although, it does seem like it’d be from some anime theme of warriors, doesn’t it? And, yes, these boys love to start out songs on the floor. Their debut Japanese single is set to release on March 3! I don’t know if it will be available in the US iTunes store as Japanese music and the US store is always hit and miss.
