LM.C [acronym of Lovely-Mocochang.com] is a duo consisting of maya [vocals] and Aiji [guitar]. Before forming LM.C, maya was a support guitarist for Miyavi and also a guitarist for the band The Sinners while Aiji was a part of Pierrot [a visual kei band with a 10-year history before disbanding]. While maya and other support members would play as LM.C, they officially formed as a duo in 2006. They categorize their music as “New Century Electrock” – basically marrying more club-like music with rock. Recently, LM.C has began doing performances as THE MAD LM.C with Aiji doing vocals and guitar and maya doing guitar as well as “screams.” THE MAD LM.C’s official look is definitely something out of Alice in Wonderland.

Their music is available for purchase and download in the US iTunes Store and Amazon. I think…I may have bought all of their releases. At first I wasn’t a huge fan of maya’s voice, but the more I listened, the more addicted I became and now these guys practically own my iPod.

maya is the vocalist for LM.C. He is always seen with a lollipop [chupa pops] in his mouth. They are in all LM.C’s videos almost, plus he can be seen with them at concerts as well…that’s like his trademark, lol. He is rather hyper and loves to bug fellow member Aiji and the support members. maya helps compose the song and writes the lyrics.
Maya does play the guitar still during certain songs in lives, but mostly just focuses on vocals. With the birth of the Mad LM.C he goes back to being a guitarist.

I have to say my all-time fave song sung by maya is 「OH MY JULIET.」 …actually that is my all-time absolute favorite of LM.C’s songs and that hasn’t changed over the years and their new releases.

Aiji is the guitarist of LM.C and the vocalist of THE MAD LM.C. It’s funny watching him deal with all of maya’s crazy antics. He’s a huge soccer fan, plus he helps compose LM.C’s songs. Again, here is a rocker in his 30s and even without make-up, he looks pretty dang young. I do believe he can speak conversational English (maybe more). I don’t know about maya. I have to say that when I first started following LM.C Aiji was my favorite, now I pretty much love them equally.

Height: 175-177 cm [5’8” – 5’10”] I seriously thought Aiji was taller than maya…

The LM.C is one of the few Japanese bands that have uploaded and made many of their PVs available in their entirety. Although, with newer releases, they seem to have stopped doing that, which is sad.
